CONS-TANT-INVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to left, seen from behind, holding spear in his right hand and shield with his left. Rev. VIRTV-S AVGG / P - R / R P Campgate with no doors and three turrets. RIC 168 var. (unlisted officina). Extremely rare and with very attractive earthen highlights. Very fine.

This extremely rare coin is one of two examples known from officina P. RIC lists a single example for Constantine I with this bust and reverse, held in the KHM, Vienna, from officina T. There are now six further known examples, representing all four officinae, of which four are in the Ramskold Collection.
